On the drone side, we are FAA Licensed,  with full commercial liability insurance with Verifly and our Unmanned Drones have a SMALL UAS Certificate of Registration from the FAA.

​We are also currently the only company with a FAA Form 7711 Certificate Waiver of Authorization to fly and conduct commercial drone operations in the West Maui "No Fly Zone" (due to proximity to the Kapalua Airport) This area spans from Kapalua Bay South to Wahikuli Beach Park by Ka'anapali. The process to acquire the waiver was a laborious 2 year effort with the FAA and local authorities. Thus satisfying our unwavering commitment to provide fully compliant drone operations to our West Maui customers.

Maui Photography & Drone  was established in 2011 by the West Family to serve the Hawaiian Islands with the
"Best in Class" photogrpahy production utilizing the cutting edge equipment, top post production techniques and an approach to Customer Service the embodies Excellence! It all started in 2011 when it was announced that commercial drone operations in the State of Hawaii would be legal and ultimately licensed through the FAA.  We only deploy the latest DJI Drones with Hasselblad Cameras, cutting edge digital photography equipment like the Camera of the Year Panasonic GH6 Ultra 4K Camera and fly DJI Professional Grade drones also with 4K Cameras and smooth 3 axis gimbals.  We are honored to have done work for many private individuals, commercial, government, non-profit and real estate clients both here on Maui and around the world.

In addition to aerial video and photography we also offer professional still photography and motion. We utilize the Nikon Full Frame Flagship Camera - the Z9 for still photography and the micro 4/3 mirror-less Panasonic GH6 Camera for both cinematic 4K motion and true HDR Photography. We "fly" our ground camera on the latest pistol grip 3 axis gimbal for Hollywood style "steady cam" for silky smooth run and gun shooting, along with tri-pods, sliders, dollies and  Sennheiser wireless microphones for the best audio quality possible. Our goal is to provide a professional video and photography service that's both affordable and on the cutting edge of technology.
